Shrimp Sushi Rolls
This is the perfect sushi dish for you to make whenever you are craving shrimp. Be sure to use the freshest shrimp for the tastiest results.
Makes: 4 servings
Total Prep Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
• 8 shrimp, cooked and chopped
• ½ of an avocado, thinly sliced
• 1 cucumber, sliced into strips
• 4 sheets of nori
• 1 ½ cup of water
• 1 ½ cup of sushi rice
• 1 tsp. of salt
• 2 tsp. of white sugar
• 1/3 cup of rice wine vinegar
Directions:
1. In a saucepan set over medium to high heat, add in the sushi rice, water and salt. Stir well to mix and allow to come to a boil. Lower the heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. Transfer into a bowl and set aside to cool.
2. In a bowl, add in the rice wine vinegar and white sugar. Whisk until the sugar dissolves. Pour into the cooked rice and stir well to mix.
3. Place the nori sheets onto a flat surface.
4. Spread the rice over the nori sheets.
5. Top off with the shrimp, sliced avocado strips and sliced cucumber strips.
6. Roll into a tight cylinder.
7. Slice into rolls and serve immediately.
